Vampire Facial

home. cosmetic plastic surgery. vampire facial

A vampire facial induces collagen and elastin production while stimulating your skin to heal from within. This treatment can smooth your skin, brighten your complexion, and give your softer, more supple facial skin. A vampire facial combines microneedling with PRP, or platelet rich plasma. This combination boosts circulation in the skin structure, triggering regeneration.

What is a vampire facial?

A vampire facial combines microneedling and platelet rich plasma, boosting natural collagen production and significantly enhancing skin quality, texture, and tone. Platelet rich plasma, or PRP, is extracted from a small sample of your blood. The PRP is rich in platelets, with an abundance of a type of blood cell that is responsible for healing. It also contains growth factors that help your skin to regenerate.

The microneedling treatment involves creating a series of microinjuries in the skin surface. These injuries stimulate the healing response of the body, causing cell regeneration. The PRP is then applied, entering more deeply into the skin structure through the microinjuries, boosting healing and regeneration. The combination of treatments makes a microneedling session far more effective.

What kind of benefits can I expect from a vampire facial?

This is an incredibly popular treatment, as it can significantly improve your skin quality. The benefits of a vampire facial include:

  • Enhanced collagen and elastin production for naturally firmer skin
  • Brighter complexion and improved skin tone and texture
  • Smoother skin
  • Reduced appearance of facial scars such as acne or other facial scars
  • Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • The PRP is your own cells, with almost no chance of an adverse reaction
  • Minimal downtime

Am I a candidate?

Candidates are often looking to reduce skin laxity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A vampire facial can reduce the appearance of facial scars, boost skin quality, and give you healthier, more supple skin. Candidates ideally:

  • Are non-smokers
  • Are in good health
  • Do not have any bleeding conditions
  • Are not on blood-thinning medications
  • Have no current facial infections

At Ideal Body Institute we don’t believe you should ever sacrifice your health.

What should I expect during the vampire facial procedure?

First, the PRP will be extracted after a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm. A topical anesthetic may be applied to your skin prior to the microneedling. The microneedling device will be rolled along your skin, creating the tiny, micro-injuries. Afterwards the PRP will be added to your skin so that it can penetrate deeply into your dermal tissues for optimal results. The entire treatment takes one hour, and your face will be treated with a soothing serum after it is complete. Your face may be slightly red or swollen after treatment, but this will resolve within the following four to six days.

When will I see the results?

The results will develop over the following weeks, with noticeable results visible between one to two weeks. You will notice the results continuing to develop over the following months. You can expect the results to be long-lasting, and once you experience softer, healthier, more youthful skin, you may choose to undergo yearly treatments.
