Ideal Body Institute is a multi specialty group in Atlanta, Georgia looking for GYN physicians to practice in Metro Atlanta, GA. The medical group includes  several providers with various specialties and clinic locations throughout the area. The facilities are only minutes away from downtown Atlanta, and a short drive to entertainment several professional sports facilities.

SITE LEAD MANAGER (BUCKHEAD)

The ideal candidate must be a team player, assertive and results driven.  He/she must be able to exercise initiative, problem-solving and decision-making to effectively plan, prioritize, and complete projects/tasks in a faced paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Operations

  • Develops proper clinical procedures that ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality.
  • Develops appropriate admission and discharge procedures and assures that pre-admission criteria are appropriately met.
  • Researches and prepares cost reduction proposals and implements them as applicable.
  • Evaluates ongoing patient care and reports significant patient issues to appropriate team members.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure personnel policy development and communication to staff to achieve consistency in labor and employee relations.
  • Plans, evaluates, recommends and implements new initiatives when appropriate.
  • Selects and hires employees according to established guidelines. Monitors, coaches, develops and evaluates performance of staff on an ongoing basis in accordance with applicable performance standards.
  • Assures compliance with all policies and procedures and governmental regulations pertaining to:
  • Controlled substances and legend drugs, including sample medications.
  • Infection control.
  • Patient confidentiality.
  • CPR, ACLS, safety and risk management in collaboration with Safety Coordinator and HR.
  • Quality improvement and quality assurance.
  • Emergency codes and evacuation
  • Professional licensure
  • DOH, Medicare JCAHO/AAAHC, MQC and all other voluntary and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, employees, managers, and physicians.
  • Assists with the development of patient education material.
  • Supports and promotes a positive image of GSC and IBI when dealing with patients and others inside and outside the organization.
  • Monitors patient service feedback and contributes to the process of resolving complaints and service issues.

Personnel

  • Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates and disciplines of all assigned personnel
  • Ensures all personnel are appropriately trained, licensed, and credentialed
  • Supervises the development of job descriptions
  • Provides oversight to the schedules for all assigned personnel in designated practice sites recommends changes and improvements as needed
  • Grants/denies days off for staff according to coverage and practice policy; ensures all posts are filled at all times
  • Provides oversight for coordinating patient schedules with physician schedules
  • Schedules and facilitates in-services for staff
  • Monitors staff for compliance with continuing education requirements
  • Directs and evaluates delegated tasks according to scope of practice and employee skill set
  • Provides supervision for assigned staff including unlicensed personnel
  • Assesses and evaluates patient flow in designated practice sites—recommends changes for quality patient service and care
  • Collaborates with Executive team, other management team members and physicians to plan and execute process changes that improve patient care services and patient management
  • Implements physician-approved clinical protocols and patient care and triage standards, facilitating all documentation and related tasks
  • Oversees the instruction of others regarding specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform clinical techniques and routines within scope of employee’s skill set and licensure
  • Provides timely follow-up for patient questions/concerns and maintains a record of communication and completion
  • Assists physician or physician extender with patient care, as directed
  • Assists with analysis and utilization of other clinical data provided by plans and hospitals; provides results to CEO, management team and physicians
  • Initiates quality assurance measures for purposes of system changes/improvements
  • Provides oversight for safety committee
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations
  • Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines established by the practice
  • Maintains compliance with practice policies and procedures
  • Attends annual CPR, OSHA, or other designated training programs
  • Attends all regular meetings
  • Performs all other tasks and projects assigned by the CEO or physicians

Patient Care

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required, Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health Care Administration preferred

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse
  • CPR Certification for Health Care Providers required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years nursing management experience, preferably in an operating room setting
  • Managed or implemented electronic health records in an ASC setting
  • Understanding of OSHA guidelines for office practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of utilization review and quality assurance processes
  • Experience communicating and interacting with physicians, patients and staff
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and time management skills
  • Proficient in computer operations, data entry, practice management software
  • Revenue focused with proven track record of generating $1Million mthly

CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR:

Coordinates and administers research study associated activities. Assists in project planning, ensures that pre-established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed. Recruits and coordinates research subjects, as appropriate, and serves as principle administrative liaison for the project. Oversees and coordinates the provision of administrative and staff services to director the investigators; develops and maintains accurate record keeping systems and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plans and coordinates the initiation of research study protocol, and the establishment of operating policies and procedures.
  2. Promotes research capacity building among community-based organizations and student groups.
  3. Prepares research ethics board applications
  4. Plans, implements, and maintains data collection and analysis systems in support of research protocol; may coordinate the collection and analysis of research data.
  5. Recruits, instructs, and coordinates research subjects and/or volunteers, as appropriate to specific study objectives and work scope.
  6. Ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities; acts as the primary administrative point of contact for internal research staff and as the principle operational liaison for other research organizations, funding agencies and regulating bodies.
  7. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of any technical support staff specifically engaged in the carrying out of research/clinical protocol, as appropriate to the position; may perform aspects of research protocol, as required, in accordance with specified program objectives.
  8. Coordinates the staffing of research studies, to include the recruitment and administration of     research support staff, as appropriate to the activity.
  9. Coordinates and oversees the provision of support services to investigators and researchers.
  10. Monitors the progress of research activities; develops and maintains records of research activities, and prepares periodic and ad hoc reports, as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies.
  11. Plans and coordinates regular advisory board and steering committee meetings.
  12. Implements quality control processes throughout the conduct of the trial

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND COMPETENCIES EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post secondary degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Minimum of one-year clinical research experience.
  2. Familiarity with community research-based principles.
  3. Minimum two-four years experience in program coordination, volunteer management in a  health related, adult education or frontline client service
  4. Excellent facilitation skills
  5. Exceptional program coordination and volunteer management skills
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Fluency in English
  8. Ability to speak another language is an asset
  9. Strong awareness of anti-oppression and harm reduction issues

CLINICAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Job Description:

Ideal Body Institute is looking for a candidate with a medical background and excellent interpersonal skills for the position of Clinical Research Assistant.  He/she will be responsible for administering questionnaires and subject material, adhering to regulatory trial standards and participating in subject recruitment efforts, among other duties.

Clinical Research Assistant Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the smooth running of clinical trials
  • Collecting, coding and analyzing data obtained from research
  • Managing research budgets
  • Informing participants about study objectives
  • Administering questionnaires
  • Monitoring research participants to ensure adherence to study rules
  • Adhering to research regulatory standards

CT TECHNOLOGIST

Job Summary:

The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, utilizes computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient’s internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology
Experience: One year full time experience as a CT Scan Technologist
Licensure: Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
Certification: Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology Current CPR/BLS Certification, CT certification preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The CT Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adheres to radiation safety measures under the supervision of the Radiology supervisor or the Radiologist.
Specific duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions
  • Administer contrast material
  • Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
  • Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images
  • Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading
  • Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
  • Follow infection control and safety guidelines

Essential Functions:

  • The Computed Tomography Technologist must demonstrate an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology.
  • The Computed Tomography Technologist must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques.
  • Computed Tomography Technologists are the primary liaison between patients and radiologists and other members of the support team.
  • Computed Tomography Technologists use professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking when performing their duties.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Participates in continuing education and learning experiences to enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills for continued competence
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Skilled in the operation of CT scan equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of computer technology
  • Perform all duties using proper body mechanics.
  • Frequently move/lift between 50-100 pounds, depending on assignment requirements
  • Stand for long periods with frequent squatting, twisting, bending, kneeling and reaching to prepare equipment, materials or objects in order to provide patient care or maintain the patient environment
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Ability to follow directions/instructions from his/her supervisor.
  • Consistent attendance is required to assure that the client facilities’ needs and patient needs are met.
  • To comply with all client facilities’ policies, procedures and practices

Working Conditions:

The CT Technologist must understand and accept the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as radiation, noise, infectious/communicable diseases, blood and bloodborne diseases, chemicals and/or chemical fumes, odors, gases and dusts. Frequent exposures to distressed patients, families or visitors.
